I don’t know if you’ve covered this before. What was the deal with putting the WWF Title back on Hogan in ’93, only to have him basically disappear from television before dropping it back to Yokozuna in June? Was there ever a long term plan in place where Hogan kept the belt longer?​


He disappeared because he was off filling dates in Japan (which is where he made the infamous comment about the WWF title being beneath the IWGP title…WHILE HE WAS CHAMPION) and pretty much Vince thought this was gonna be the second explosion of Hulkamania, I think. That’s why he was desperate to find his new Hogan in the form of Luger. ​
