Von Erichs and the media

> I found it hilarious in the Wrestling Observer about how Fritz and Kerry were able to fool people about Kerry’s fake leg for years. But just how powerful was Fritz when it comes to media control/spin? For example, after Mike killed himself, was Fritz able to keep his suicide out of the local papers/newscasts (or at least spin it to make himself look good?). Same with all the other deaths that occured. I have a hard time believing that the local Texas papers would play ball with something like that. A famous Texan dying is not something you can keep quiet. Not even Vince McMahon was that powerful.
Fritz was unique in Texas. He made evidence go away from police stations to protect his sons and got the media to buy that Kerry’s boot coming off didn’t actually happen. Nothing would be outside of his powers, frankly.
