Rumble Losers

(1)Was beginning 2001 on the network why did they have Austin lose to HHH at No Way Out after winning the rumble? I just couldnt understand how losing before your title match helps you. then i looked at all the rumbles and heres what ive compiled

Rumble Winners to lose at very next PPV

94- bret lost to owen in first match, luger lost to yoko at mania
95- hbk lost to diesel at mania

97- austin lost fatal 4 way

99-mcmahon lost to austin at IYH
2000-rock lost to big show at no way out
01 austin lost to hhh at no way out
02 HHH- loses to angle

06-mysterio lost to orton
07- taker loses tag match

13-cena lost tag match

of those that won the next ppv there was still 6 that would lose at mania

09-orton
10-edge
11-del rio
14-batista
15- reigns

(2) any actual reason for this? like are they trying to show vulnerability or something. a god damn rumble winner cant string two wins in a row?

That’s the 50/50 club for you.  There’s a reason why no one can become a star post-Cena.
