Zero (Negative?) Chemistry

Cruising through 96-97 WCW for my current rewatch. Started thinking about frequent opponents who ALWAYS either disappoint or actively detract from shows. Of course, I’m thinking of Luger-Macho in this case. We had an epic MACHO-DDP feud for the year and Luger-Hogan which wasn’t technically sound but provided some profoundly important moments. No excuse to get zero to negative from Luger-Savage.
Any other frequent opponents who absolutely choked the life out of shows? Considering it was the Monday night war Era, it was tough to kill every show amidst the fervor so their failure is probably tough to top.
There was tons of combinations of Big Bubba/VK Wallstreet/Jim Duggan/Konnan/Hugh Morrus during that time period and they were uniformly awful for months on end.
By the time you get to 97/98 WWF, the endless Gang Warz with the Boriquas/DOA/Nation showdowns were like flaming death as well. And then DOA split off as a tag team and turned into an endless series of heat sink matches against LOD for months too.
