Rumble Undercard

By Scott Keith on January 13, 2016

Long time, first time, yadda yadda yadda…

As of this writing, there two episodes of SmackDown and one episode of Raw left before the Royal Rumble and there are no undercard matches announced.

Does creative have any clue what they’re going to do? I assume Charlotte/Becky, maybe a Neville/Owens match if creative remembers they had a little program, and possibly a New Day Title match. Or do we have no undercard matches and have the Rumble with four minute intervals with Roman starting as number one. Not only does he conquer all, he also becomes superhuman by surviving a 2 hour plus Rumble match. All hail the Roman Empire!!

In all seriousness, I don’t ever recall being this close to such a major show and having zero undercard matches. I know the WWECW December to Dismember had virtually no undercard advertised, but this is the Royal Rumble. Granted the Rumble sells itself and the undercard typically isn’t as important due to the Rumble being the main draw, but they’ve gotta do something. Right??

I think it’s hilarious that you think they remember that Neville bit they did to fill time on RAW. The Owens match is a Last Man Standing one against Ambrose, which I normally hate. Becky/Charlotte is also there, and probably New Day v. Usos because they’ve run out of challengers again and have to cycle back to the old ones. Too bad there wasn’t a whole other crew of guys they could just pick from to freshen things up. Probably match number 8 million between Del Rio and Kalisto as well. Not particularly memorable, but not a total disaster at least.
