Dr. Death and Terry Gordy

I was reading that the anniversary of Steve Williams’ passing was yesterday, and it got me thinking about his tag team run with Terry Gordy in Japan.

Where did the name “Miracle Violence Connection” come from? Don’t get me wrong, it works – especially for those two – but was it more of a “lost in translation” event? Or was there more to it?

​They were never called that in the US. That team name was more of an online translation of what they were called in Japan and us internet dorks were just kind of like "Holy shit that’s the coolest name ever!" and picked it up from there. ​
