NXT oppurtunity to think outside the box!
By Scott Keith on December 10, 2015
Good morning Mr. Keith. So I’m doing my weekly late night drunk random network show watching (which is the best!), and coming across Beast In The East, Manhattan Center RAW’s, ECW arena shows, Disney Nitro, WCCW Texas Stadium etc. etc. It occurred to me that Nxt can do exactly what you’ve been asking for, and I’ve been hankering for YEARS. Outside the box venues!
With the emphasis on booking and letting wrestlers build there characters as opposed to the WWE written mentality, it shows that they aren’t afraid of some risk to see how things could work out. Could you imagine an NxT show in a texas fiargrounds show? Or on the grounds of the Calgary stampede? How about a Takeover at the Manhattan Center with a small vocal crowd? An outdoor small baseball minor league stadium show? ECW Arena!!! Hell I’d even be down for them to do a spring break nitro revisit and whatever club they were in. I want a road show feel! I bet you can watch all 52 raws of every year for the past 5-7 years, and besides the crowd on some nights, what’s the difference in atmosphere?
Yeah, but if NXT changes the layout, then all the fans might be like "What happened to the layout of the show? Did I have a stroke? I hate change and Tanahashi is overrated, waaaah!"
