Roman Reigns: The Total Package?

For the second time this year the WWE has given Roman Reigns the big lead up into a major PPV and both times, although he did technically win the Title finally at Survivor Series, he left without the belt. Putting aside the argument of whether he deserves the world title or how over he is, looking at the booking alone. They push him as an unstoppable force only to come up short twice now, have they accidentally turned Roman Reigns into a modern day Lex Lug​e​

​I know ratings aren’t wholly relevant to the discussion of who is the draw anymore, but Monday’s number certainly doesn’t look favorable for peoples’ belief in Roman Reigns as a long-term superstar on top, does it? Just like with Luger, you only get so many chances to pull the trigger on a guy, and sometimes if you miss it, you miss it forever. I’m not saying they can’t rehab him again, but Sunday night was the time to put the title on him and try it one way or another as top heel or top babyface against Ambrose, and they did neither. Now he’s getting dangerously close to being a geek chasing another geek, but with only 2.8 million people watching instead of the 4.0+ million that were watching at the same time last year.
