The New Roman Empire
By Scott Keith on November 20, 2015
Hello squire,
Long-time reader, fourth or fifth time emailer. I’m sure the header makes you think this is a question relating to our future Lord and Saviour Roman Reigns, but it’s actually a clever play on words. I’ve started a new site and was wondering if I could maybe get your thought on it (and a link on the blog if you’re being super-generous). It’s a weekly episodic series of short stories (with professional comic book artwork) that your bloggers might enjoy http://legionverse.com/ set in a sci-fi world loosely based on the Roman Empire.
Also while I’m here, is there any chance that they pull a massive swerve with us all on Sunday and have Owens or Del Rio walk out champion? Obviously this might kill off Reigns as a World Title holder, but it might give the company the shot in the arm it so desperately needs. Owens as Corporate champ for instance works so beautifully with his current character and he could basically have the same program as Seth Rollins, but make it work?
Thanks
TP
I’d say zero chance of either guy winning, mostly because either option would require another boring tournament to fill the vacant title they’d leave behind. That being said, they need a new top guy NOW, not another project for Vince to eventually make into a top guy, and that means either Reigns or Ambrose. Owens probably could fill that role given time and the right push, but they just don’t appear to see him at that level. What’s really sad is that if Daniel Bryan was healthy this would probably be the time where they’d go all in on him as champion because he would be without a doubt the best option left.
