House shows on the Network

I said the exact same thing as you about last night’s show. It was the most basic house show circuit ever. Nothing big, nothing important, so why on Earth did they waste a Brock payday?! There’s no buyrate, MSG would’ve sold out anyway probably, and they didn’t even sell the PPV coming up in 3 weeks? No Taker to tell Brock to RIP? With ratings tanking and then giving this show a hard sell on Raw, I assumed they might pull a cash-in to pop Monday’s raw rating, or do a title change with the Dudleys, or SOMETHING to make me tune in Monday night? But instead it was just a house show guest starring Brock for 5-minutes against a 45 year old JTTS… So I guess my basic question is… Da Fuq was that???

​It was just something they were trying. ​Even though it was nothing of note and will probably be ignored, I appreciate the effort. We used to get similar stuff on the MSG Network in the 80s, and they were equally disposable. If they do one of these a month, it’ll make for more interesting content and show people what fun they can expect at house shows.

That being said, for the FIRST one, they should have done a title change or something more interesting than what they did. But that’s a different argument.
