Time Machine with TA

Hi Scott,

Was just wondering about Magnum TA & potential. In your view, without the accident, would TA have taken, I assume, Sting spot? If so, what would the outcome have been. I, personally, never saw main event with TA. He had a great look and great charisma, but he always seemed way too regional to ever be a huge hit outside the south.

​Possibly. We know that Magnum was going to face Flair for the title at Starrcade and probably win it for a short-term reign, but I agree that I don’t know about his viability as a long-term draw in a TV world. I think with some "help" he could have been WWF-ready and Vince could have repackaged him into something like a Razor Ramon, but let’s face it: No one was getting past the Hogan/Savage logjam at the top until the early 90s. So maybe TA had already hit his ceiling anyway? ​
