BOD NFL Power Rankings Week 4

By Scott Keith on September 30, 2015

Welcome back once again to the Blog of Doom NFL Power Rankings! We’re three weeks into the season now, and things are starting to settle down a little and the contenders are starting to separate themselves from the pretenders. Let’s go to the list! Each teams previous ranking is in parenthesis.

#01: New England Patriots 3-0 (1)

Still the undefeated, and undisputed world champions of the National Football League. I’ll say it again, until someone knocks them off, they will stay #1 in these rankings.

#02: Green Bay Packers, 3-0 (2)

Aaron Rogers and his multitude of receivers did it again on Monday night, as they turned back the challenge of the falling Kansas City Chiefs.

#03: Arizona Cardinals, 3-0 (3)

The Cardinals are starting to change opinions of their doubters with their stout defense, and the solid play of their offense as well.

#04: Cincinnati Bengals, 3-0 (5)

The Bengals jump the Broncos this week due to the grit shown in their win against the Ravens this past Sunday.

#05: Denver Broncos, 3-0 (4)

The Denver defense is playing well enough so far to possibly bring back the nickname from yesteryear, The Orange Crush. The offense on the other hand isn’t near as prolific as we have seen in the last two years with Peyton Manning under center.

#06: Atlanta Falcons, 3-0 (8)

WR Julio Jones is making an early case for MVP of the league, and the whole Falcons team is flying high, as they’re currently ranked 3rd in overall offense. They are the first team in history to start the season 3-0 after trailing in the 4th quarter in each game.

#07: Carolina Panthers, 3-0 (7)

Another early candidate for MVP, Cam Newton is putting the Panthers on his back and carrying them thus far this season. In a weak division, it’s already looking like a showdown with the Falcons at some point this season will have major implications. This weeks addition of Jared Allen to the defense could mean the road to the NFC South title runs through Charlotte NC.

#08: Pittsburgh Steelers, 2-1 (6)

The Steelers lost their starting QB on Sunday, and their early playoff hopes now ride on aging Michael Vick for the next several weeks. Can he hold the fort until Big Ben returns? We’ll have to watch and see, but the return of Le’Veon Bell will be a big help taking pressure off of Vick.

#09: Seattle Seahawks, 1-2 (12)

The former world champions made a statement this Sunday with a shutout of the lowly Chicago Bears. It was a dominating performance that they hope to build momentum off of for the rest of the season.

#10: Minnesota Vikings, 2-1 (15)

The Vikings offense is starting to gel really well with Adrian Peterson starting to look like his old self and Teddy Bridgewater under center.

#11: Buffalo Bills, 2-1 (17)
#12: New York Jets, 2-1 (9)
#13: Dallas Cowboys, 2-1 (10)
#14: Indianapolis Colts, 1-2 (18)
#15: New York Giants, 1-2 (21)
#16: San Diego Chargers, 1-2 (13)
#17: Oakland Raiders, 2-1 (25)
#18: Philadelphia Eagles, 1-2 (24)
#19: Kansas City Chiefs, 1-2 (14)
#20: Miami Dolphis, 1-2 (11)
#21: St. Louis Rams, 1-2 (16)
#22: Houston Texans, 1-2 (30)
#23: Baltimore Ravens, 0-3 (19)
#24: Tennessee Titans, 1-2 (23)
#25: Cleveland Browns, 1-2 (29)
#26: Washington Redskins, 1-2 (22)
#27: Jacksonville Jaguars, 1-2 (20)
#28: Detroit Lions, 0-3 (26)
#29: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1-2 (28)
#30: San Francisco 49ers, 1-2 (23)
#31: New Orleans Saints, 0-3 (31)
#32: Chicago Bears, 0-3 (32)

I’ll be back later this week with Odds & Picks for Week 4.
