How does the Rock make everyone else money in the current business model?
By Scott Keith on September 28, 2015
Hi Scott,
Shelton and the rest of the Primetime Nation of New Harlem Doom here.
You mentioned that even as a part timer, Rock makes money for everyone else. But given that neither PPV payouts are a thing anymore (correct me if I’m wrong there) nor that Rock doesn’t work house shows, how exactly does anyone else benefit from him being around aside from whoever he might be facing?
Also, please let Bonzai know that Felicity Smoak is too much man for him, and that Maude is probably just about right.
Keep on clappin’,

Unfortunately we don’t KNOW what the current business model is, so it’s kind of hard to talk about Rock’s effect today. No one will disclose what Network payouts entail or what is happening to PPV payouts, etc. My comments were in reference to Punk bitching about Rock v. Cena, when that match did the biggest buyrate ever and you could clearly see the difference that the Rock made. Today, you might very well be correct, because actually PPV buys are seemingly locked at about 30K per show give or take and the real fluctuation is in the Network numbers.
