One Night Only

Hey Scott,
Just watched the famous MSG Raw from 97 and JR mention about the One Night Only show that was a PPV in the UK was only going to be shown at Canada and not America and said "you can blame the Hart Foundation for that." Ok,I realize that last part is a storyline but what WAS that all about? Did everyone had to wait for the VHS release to see the show? Because he was mentioned quite a bit on that Raw and leading up to the PPV.

​Yeah, basically the US PPV companies had no interest in carrying the show, so Bret Hart and Carl DeMarco struck a deal with Viewer’s Choice Canada to get them to pick it up for Canadian distribution only. And for years that was the only way to have seen the full show, since they cut the Bret-Undertaker and another couple of matches out of the home video release because reasons. ​
