Since the WWE has frequently spotlighted the first WrestleMania as the do-or-die gamble for the company and as the historical launching pad for WWE’s ultimate success (in WWE’s version of history, of course), what happens to the legacy of that show now that Hulk Hogan is persona non grata due to his racist comments, Jimmy Snuka is persona non grata due to his murder charge, and Roddy Piper is dead at a relatively young age? Because of the first WrestleMania’s historical impact, it doesn’t seem to be as easy to willfully ignore as WrestleMania XX was following the Benoit murder-suicide, so how do you think they will reference it? Maybe by shifting the focus on the Wendi Richter/Cyndi Lauper/Rock ”N’ Wrestling angle?

I say they just do like 20 and pretend Stevie Richards was all the disputed guys.
