Managers

We know that there a main eventers, midcarders, jobbers, etc in wrestling. But did you ever feel the same about the managers? For example, Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart both seemed to get the people who would eventually win multiple championships for them, while managers like Slick and Harvey Whippleman seemed to get the losers. Same goes for WCW or any wrestling company, really. I’m assuming this was planned this way. What managers do you feel are underrated because of this.

​Slick was awesome! I don’t think he was underrated, though, he was rated about right. And he got a run as the manager of the Twin Towers against the Megapowers in one of the biggest angles ever. Now Paul Jones, there’s a guy who got stuck with the losers. ​
