What’s the point?

Hi Scott,

Apart from the confusing ending to the match between Taker & Brock, I have a question about Taker’s heel/face alignment.

I’m guessing after all the nut shots (especially the one he used to gain the advantage to win at SS), he’s heel, right?

I just wanted to confirm that, because as it stands, the rumours from your daily updates suggest that he’s not going to be around again until Wrestlemania season. So what’s the point of all this heel positioning? After long absences, guys (especially massively loved guys) pretty much always come back as babyfaces. I don’t think Taker is an exception to this, especially as it’s possibly his last Wrestlemania coming up. No one’s going to boo him for that.

Also, I haven’t watched Summerslam yet, so I can’t comment on his supposed heel tactics or the apparent confusing ending. However, I’m sure there’s a good reason behind it, just like everything else they do. Perhaps we’re all just too stupid to follow the brilliant storytelling of the WWE’s creative writers? I feel like that might be an option worth exploring further. ​
