Dino Bravo

Scott,
One push that I never understood was the push Dino Bravo got from 1987 until early 1991 in the WWF where he was almost consistantly in the upper mid card and main event scene despite apathetic fan reaction and beyond boring promos.
Why was he given so many top feuds during that time frame?
He always seemed protected by upper management despite not being over.
Well we KNOW that he was getting someone a hell of a deal on cigarettes, at the very least.
I think it was just a look thing. Vince loves muscled guys and Bravo had a name in Canada and the giant steroid physique, and was a safe worker who Hogan must have liked working with, so we got blessed with lots of Dino Bravo. Same reasoning behind Warlord and a million other guys who stuck around the midcard to put over Hogan.
