NXT at WrestleMania

Here’s my idea for what to do with NXT at WrestleMania. The Friday before WrestleMania they have an NXT special on the network with a one night tournament where the winner gets an NXT Title shot at WrestleMania. With a two hour pre-show, and a four hour main show they have plenty of time for the match. And the crowd is usually a bunch of sharks who will react to the match. What do you think?

​That’s pretty close to what they did last year, although obviously Itami getting tossed out of the match like a sack of garbage wasn’t the optimal payoff. Really, winning a tournament just for a spot on the Wrestlemania show is payoff enough since they’ve conditioned fans that titles are props and WRESTLEMANIA MOMENTS are the real prize. ​
