To The Exalted High Emperor of the BoD!
By Scott Keith on August 9, 2015
Evening sir!
My name is Mike Wright and I’ve been a gaming writer for places like Twin Galaxies (yup, the King of Kong guys), Retrocade Magazine, GamingWorldWide among many other kooky places. When I was but a youngling in the game, you shared my blog with the BoD and I’ve always appreciated that immensely. I know you’re somewhat of a gamer from the old school as well so that bad boy is still at http://nesquester.blogspot.com/ if you ever get bored with time to slay.
The reason I’m writing you is that I have decided to hit the happy trails as it pertains to the writing part of the gaming universe and am working on crossing over to the wacky world of the squared circle. You might find it entertaining that I’ve name dropped you on gaming podcasts and interviews when asked who my influences are. "Harlan Ellison, Hunter S. Thompson, Scott Keith, Tim Zahn, Greg Bear…" and watch people start to Google as I’m halfway through that sentence. Anyhoos, if you’d ever like to give it a shot or think the BoD would dig it, in the vein of the "NESquester" project, I try to infuse a bit of humor into the history. I’m currently in the middle of a five part Ric Flair Spotlight, because ifyou’re going to start a party, it needs The Man.

Thank you for your time and for all the laughs over the years,
TAFKA NESquester
Oddly, the NES was never really my jam. I played the Super Mario trilogy of course, and Wrestlemania, and Zelda II (the only Zelda game I’ve completed!) but my family got an NES pretty late in the life cycle and by the time I was old enough to really start gaming on my own, I had saved up enough to buy a Genesis and never looked back. I was clinging to the Atari 2600 until it was pried out of my cold dead hands, more or less.
