“Fight” Billing

So I was just scrolling through the network to punish myself with Summerslam 95, and I saw the actual Battleground poster for the first time with its "LESNAR vs ROLLINS" tag. I know Space Lord Brock gets his special treatment, deservedly so, but wouldn’t it make sense to market every main event in such a manner? Or is that too much like UFC for their pride to handle?

​They did a similar thing with the Brock v. Cena matches and that worked pretty damn well, too. According to Meltzer, the PPV B-show buys have pretty much leveled out at 50K per show, give or take, so really whatever they do isn’t going to move the needle much anyway at this point.

​Speaking of UFC, I’m actually going to be skipping Summerslam because UFC on FS1 is RIGHT HERE in Saskatoon on August 23 and I’d rather go see that live than sit through 4 hours of WWE Sports Entertainment at home on the Network. ​
