Why Billy Gunn?

I’m not hating against Billy here, always kind of been a fan actually.. but was there something about him during The Smoking Gunns run that made Vince see him as a breakout star? Especially enough to give him chance after chance to get over with the singles run, Rockabilly, "The One" and so on?

​I feel like incriminating photos might have had something to do with it. Mostly, however, he was tall and had a good body and a full head of hair, and so checked off three major boxes needed to be a top-level superstar in the WWF at the time. ​
