Shawn post-WM14

What were the plans for Shawn post WM 14 had he not sustained the back injury on the casket? We know Austin was always getting the title – does Shawn hang around the title scene challenging Austin? The thing is, Austin vs. Vince was going to be the main program, and I don't see Shawn at that point dropping down to the midcard…where would that have left Shawn?
