So, watching the G1 Climax (which has been predictably excellent) and I’m thinking – shouldn’t WWE do a version of it?

Upsides:
  • At 2 shows a week, that’s roughly a 6 week period where the writers don’t have to do any work and don’t have to scrape the barrel like they seem to do.
  • There’s a bunch of ready-made storylines and feuds coming out of it depending on who beat who.
  • It can fit into a dead period in the calendar where not a lot happens.
  • Tournaments are awesome
Downsides:
  • Cena wins.

Also, too much math for Vince to keep track of.  But I like the spirit.
