Kota Ibushi is OUT of the G1 Climax Tournament

Kota Ibushi, the man who has taken home the WON Best High Flyer award 4 out of the last 5 years, did not pass his most recent concussion tests and will subsequently miss the 2014 G1 Climax tournament. Most importantly, we all hope dude is ok. I didn’t expect to see terms like “Brain Damage” spewed back at me via Google Translate, so it’s obviously a good thing that NJPW is stepping up and refusing to clear him. Less importantly, I don’t believe his replacement has been named yet. Honma? Tanaka? Ricochet? Yoshi-Hashi? Yoshi Tatsu?

For those who haven’t seen the concussion in question, it was a pretty scary deal to watch live. This was supposed to be a blow away main event, MOTYC type affair. Instead we got we got Ibushi sleepwalking through the match below…
