Jog my memory?

I was just kind of randomly watching the 95 Rumble PPV for no particular reason. What's the story with them setting up a second huge Bret/Owen feud on the show, and then seemingly doing nothing with it? Was it blown off on a Raw between then and WM 11? Why wasn't *that* just the WM match instead of the Backlund deal?

I had no recollection of this.

I don't believe that it was setting anything up as much as it was their way of getting out of the finish. Owen was always destined to get the tag titles so it's not like that was designed to be anything. It's not like era was really stellar in terms of the booking.
