The Original Plans to Determine the Intercontinental Title Number One Contender


Originally, the number one contender was going to be determined in a four-way match between Big Show, Jack Swagger, Cesaro, and Christian, with Cesaro scheduled to win the match. Just before RAW on Monday, Vince McMahon said that he felt the four-way match did nothing to elevate a strong contender for the belt and thought that a tournament would produce a stronger contender.
