Since Extreme Rules is the next PPV, let us not forget that WWE once ran a show called Backlash in the late April/early May monthly slot, and the greatest Backlash of all time was Backlash 2000. Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Dean Malenko, a pretty good 6-way hardcore title match, Big Show’s Hogan impersonation, Eddie Guerrero vs. Essa Rios, Benoit vs. Jericho, and of course, The Rock vs. Triple H. For me, this is one of the greatest shows ever. Match quality, booking and a hot crowd all in one.
