Given the "reset" of this week's Raw, it was great until the end. They needed to just go for broke to end the Authority/set up the new big bad:
What should have happened:
Bryan's in ring and everyone's waiting for Triple H but he doesn't come out. Wait for a couple of minutes THEN the Titantron shows backstage footage and we get Hunter, Steph, Ambrose, Reigns, Kane being MASSACRED. The shit kicked out of them, Steph and Hunter in particular being brutalized in particular, by a trio of masked men. The men then unmask and we find out that they are Miz, Dolph Ziggler, and Zach Ryder. Once the Authority are beaten down brutally, we get Brock Lesner/Cesero, and Heyman into the area where the Authority lay broken and beaten and destroyed. Heyman taunts Steph (who Brock F-5s) about how after stopping the Undertaker, he's decided to not rest on his laurels and basically gathered his "guys" and have them move onto his encore: destroying the Authority. Then just for fun, Brock F-5s HHH several times in a row to hammer home how HHH is Brock's bitch.
HHH and Steph are now defeated and pretty much gone from tv until further notice. The Authority is gone and crushed completely and we now have the long awaited return of the Dangerous Alliance.
This sets up the spring/summer storyline as Heyman stages his own coup of the WWE (a storyline I'm shocked Vince has never done before) having slain HHH to finish off the job Bryan started. Miz/Dolph/Zach are retconned as "Heyman Guys" to re-establish their credibility and decide to lay siege towards the top guys in the WWE.
Miz goes after Bryan, as (again) Miz and Bryan have history and Miz is GREAT at playing an obnoxiously evil villain, moreso than Orton since Miz is willing to commit himself to the character.
Zach Ryder goes after John Cena, with Zach blaming Cena for derailing his career and turning his back on Zach and Bray Wyatt trying to exploit the Zach/Cena feud to try and turn Cena to the dark side as Cena tries to fight to save Zach's soul from Heyman's clutches
Dolph goes after Randy Orton, who's now without any friends or allies with Orton given the job, to basically get Dolph over as a top guy
The Shield continues to feud with the Wyatts, who through Zach Ryder, are trying to forge their own alliance with Heyman to further their own end. However, there is much tension in the Shield as the group believe Seth Rollins might be involved with Heyman and helped him carry out the destruction of the Authority (since he was missing from the massacre).
Kane meanwhile becomes the new figurehead GM and the brutal beating he suffered causes Kane to regress back to Team Hell No era Kane, leading to a reconciliation between him and Bryan
Meanwhile Batista deals with Brock Lesner, who brutalizs Batista over the summer to re-establish Batista as a sympathetic good guy.
As the storyline goes on, battle lines are drawn with Bryan beating Miz for good by springs end and starting the slow build for Brock/Bryan: Brock wants to fight Bryan but not on a piddling PPV; he wants to fight Bryan at Summerslam. Which means Bryan in the meantime must go through the gauntlet of Dangerous Alliance members to get to Brock at Summerslam.
Things culminate with Brock beating Bryan at Summerslam and Brock ducking Bryan until Survivor Series, where we get Dangerous Alliance vs Cena and Shield (turned face around this time) and Bryan winning the belt back from Brock. At which point, we start building towards Cena/Bryan at Wrestlemania 31
