WM XIX
By Scott Keith on March 13, 2014
First of all, I'm loving the random rants of various shows from the WWE Network. Thank you for those.
Secondly, am I crazy or is WrestleMania XIX an incredibly underrated and overlooked Pay-Per-View? It's great from beginning-to-end with matches like Angle vs. Lesnar, Rock vs. Austin III, HBK vs. Jericho, Los Guerreros vs. Team Angle vs. Benoit/Rhyno, an entertaining Hogan vs. Vince trainwreck, and even one of the best Women's matches ever — the Trish-Victoria-Jazz triple threat. It's also a pretty damn historic — maybe the last actual Attitude Era PPV, Austin's last match, the botched Shooting Brock Press, and HHH not putting Booker T over after a thinly-veiled racist storyline (maybe that's not historic after all). On top of all of that, the venue in the big baseball stadium in Seattle and the lighting — from the natural daylight to the actual production setup is also one of the most memorable that I can think of. In terms of quality and spectacle, I think only WrestleMania X-7 was better. Am I just overly nostalgic for WrestleMania XIX, or does it get the shaft for some reason? And, if so, why?
