Hi Scott, just wondering if you could shed some light on something I'm reading all over the net. Was Muhammad Hassan set to win the world championship from Batista at sumerslam the year he was released? did any somewhat refutable source report this. Thanks for your time
Yes, Meltzer mentioned this on a radio show a few months ago. He was going to win the belt in Washington DC, although plans changed once he failed to set the world on fire as the big new heel. I can only imagine the storyline that Vince would have run if Hassan had made it and stuck around until Bin Laden was killed.
