Blog Question Re: Tonight’s “Great American Bash”

Long time reader, been around since I was a wee lad in the RSPW days, blah, blah..Quick question for you. Am I the only one that finds it somewhat insulting that Vince has taken what was NWA/WCW's second most important PPV of the year and turned it in to a two hour live Smackdown, likely to be riddled with recaps from last night and no story development?
I remember, as a kid, The GAB was a HUGE event where scores were settled and angles were blown off. Now it seems Vince has just taken the name, since he owns it, and turned it in to a cheap attempt at a ratings grab while providing nothing that would even hold a candle to the events we saw at the Bashes in the late 80's and early 90's.
Thoughts?
